Classic Zen Style Home in Ahmadabad

Take a tour of this Calm and Modern style Home at Ahmadabad.

There nothing like trending interiors, just follow your heart to get a timeless interior for your dream home. The house is woven with natural light and greenery. Its simplicity is layered with symbols of nature and light. The four-bedroom apartment spread over a 3,650-square-feet exudes zen-like calm.

The Main Entrance

The entire house is designed using various cultural symbols to keep their spiritual beliefs. Curated artifacts throughout the home elevate the space further. “having clean lines with greenery and light as the embellishment”—an idea that space perfectly encapsulates.

Living and Dining

The living area features a Buddha statue, the dining area has an inlay wall featuring Nandi motifs. The shades of blue and grey through the home are subtle and soothing and perfectly complement the material palette of wood, brass, and marble.

The grey sofa as well as the other furniture in the house is custom-made by Greensquares Furniture in association with Maruti Interiors. The armchairs are a tribute to the legendary ‘Elizabeth’ chairs by Kofod Larsen. All the furnishings in the room are by D’décor.

The dining area is separated from the living by a metal frame. At the center of the space, an elegant marble top table is supported by wooden legs—a material mirrored in the wooden veneer ceiling.

The living, dining, and kitchen areas have a linear layout, further accentuating the spaciousness of the home.

Kitchen

The kitchen follows the palette of the home with its whites and woodwork. It also features handmade quartz tiles above the counters. Taking a leaf from the less-is-more adage, the space is elegant and functional.

Family Room

The family room was designed as a place where the family can get together for their rituals. For the same reason, traditional seating was custom made out of Ghana teak for this room. And while the space is fairly minimal, the focal point is an interesting modern artwork by artist Aditya Patel.

Master BedRoom

The master bedroom is a sleek space with different areas for different moods. The bedroom area features a modern bed with a rich, fabric headboard and a stark black accent wall behind it. The chic bedroom also features a lounge area replete with a bar, which perhaps is its most interesting feature.

Wood also stands out in the grandparents’ room, making it a space that’s warm and welcoming. The wall behind the bed features wooden slats on the lower half. The upper half is painted in charcoal grey and has a linear motif in brass.

Children's Room

The room features light grey walls and upholstery together with wooden accents. A common recreational area between the two beds is where the children can work and play.

Yeah! This home is a really inspirational design with harmony and peace. Hope you all enjoyed this home tour.
